Support Legislation
We make activism as easy as possible... ...but we can't make the bills go through.
Not a single bill that we actively supported made it all the way through the session.
Some great bills were passed, and we say thank you to the legislators for those. However, if you go through the bills they prioritized, very few directly improve the safety of Washington's communities and families. Clearly, we have another year of hard work ahead of us.

Let your legislator know you support common sense legislation for safe kids and communities.
You can use the "Find Your Legislator/District" tool from the Washington Legislature. Let them know about our organization, and that you support our efforts.

What happens in the interim?
We research legislative issues and current law and work toward consensus on priorities.
We'll listen to feedback from the community across Washington - but only if they talk! Send us an email and tell us what you think. You might even get an argument out of us.
We'll find legislators who share our priorities, and we'll work with them to create legislative proposals to take to the next legislative session.
Hope springs eternal... we really do think that we can create positive change for child and community safety in Washington.
